Travelling to College With JJ Kavanagh & Sons – we take the hassle out of travelling back to college!

The first week of college can be very stressful.  You have to learn a whole new campus, get along with people you’ve only known for about two seconds and then pretend like you know what the hell you’re doing as you waddle into your first college class ever. But through all the madness, we can make one thing easier, your transport!

Daily College Services

Maynooth University

We’ve three bus routes serving Maynooth University daily from Kilkenny, Carlow, Portlaoise, Kilcullen, Naas, Sallins and Clane. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €40.

Orientation week starts on the 7th – 8th through to the 11th – 15th September and skeleton service will be running as follows:

➜ Portlaoise – Maynooth University at 06:50hrs

➜ Kilkenny – Carlow –  Maynooth University at 06:45hrs

➜ Athy –  Maynooth University at 07.20hrs

Returning bus at 17.15hrs from the Phoenix Restaurant each evening during orientation week.

Semester 1 fully starts from 18th September and all services will be running as normal see timetables below:

Carlow IT

Our national 736 Dublin – Waterford services stop at the Carlow IT bus stop daily (during college term). We’ve also a number of local buses running Monday – Friday from the outskirts of Carlow, Laois and Kildare. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €40.

All services will start from 11th September:

Naas – Carlow

Monasterevin – Newbridge – Carlow

Mountmellick –  Portarlington – Carlow

Portlaoise – Carlow

University of Limerick

JJ Kavanagh & Sons runs seven services to UL daily from Dublin, Portlaoise, Kildare, Roscrea, Toomevara and Nenagh stopping right in the University of Limerick campus, close to “The Stables’. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €40.

Waterford Institute of Technology

JJ Kavanagh & Sons stop right outside the main WIT bus stop eleven times daily from Dublin and Carlow. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €45.

Weekend College Services

NUI Galway & University of Limerick 

JJ Kavanagh & Sons weekend college services operate on Sunday evenings and Friday evenings throughout the college term. Prices for student return’s start from as little as €20.

All weekend services will start from Friday 8th September.
