Kilkenny

Kilkenny

Kilkenny is known for it’s friendly and warm welcome to it’s visitors. This medieval city has a great buzz to it both day and night and there is nothing better than watching the sun come down over this historical city. Firstly, we would recommend a spin on the Kilkenny City Road Train and then a stop into Kilkenny design centre for afternoon tea. A girls weekend wouldn’t be complete with a shopping trip to famous Folkster shop on Patrick’s street. You are can guarantee to come out with a purchase from this cool and fashion forward store! If you are looking for some live music, great cocktails and budget friendly accommodation in the heart of Kilkenny city then look no further than Lanigans Pub & Hostel. Finally for any late night partiers make sure to visit the Left Bank on the Parade. It’s cool and urban interior will make you and your girlfriends feel they are party away in a scene from Sex and the city!

Clonmel is in the heart of the south east and truly a hidden gem of South Tipperary. It is a destination with offers more to the visitors than just a party scene. Clonmel is a clean, picturesque town with fabulous restaurants, hotels and cafes. If you are after some relaxation and indulgence during your stay than book yourself into the Clonmel Park Hotel. With an excellent spa and afternoon tea available you and the girls can catch up on some needed ‘me time’ and of course some gossip! Next we would recommend a visit to Italian restaurant Catalpa on O’Connell street, its food and ambiance will transport you to the mediterranean, if only for the evening. Lastly we would recommend  the visit to St Patrick’s well and Athassel Priory. These are places of historical beauty and tranquility and is a great way to finish a weekend.

Waterford

Brunch

Waterford is a city that really does offer something for ‘everyone in the audience’, from the cool and hipster restaurants and cafes, to fascinating walking tour to a buzzing nightlife. For all our foodie friends, Waterford will not disappoint! As you get off our coach from Dooley’s Hotel you will be met by a small but quirky cafe called Brunkers. Run by brother and sister duo, it will send your taste buds racing! They have great selection of delicious homemade sandwiches and salads. You want burn off some of the those unwanted calories then go on a walking tour with Jack Burchaell around the city of Waterford. Jack makes the tours are out of the ordinary, funny and not like flashback to a junior cert history class! Of course after the tour you must be hungry, then a social call to Burzza is a must!. Located on John St. it will remind you of cool and trendy New York eatery . We recommend the Burzza special, which is a burger within a pizza (YES it’s actually a real dish) and remember to wash it down with one of their locally craft beers. It will be a meal that you won’t forget in a hurry.
