JJ Kavanagh & Sons Free Travel Seat Reservation
A ‘Seat only reservation’ is an option for registered Free Travel Smartcard Customers who would like to reserve a seat on a service and who are in possession of our JJ Kavanagh & Sons Free Travel Smartcard. A €3 fee is charged for each leg of the journey and the amount is advised prior to payment. A ‘Seat reservation’ is not a valid ticket for travel on its own. Customers are advised there is limited availability for seat only reservations online.
Step by Step Guide to Free Travel Seat Reservation
- Enter in your Free Travel Smartcard Number and PPS No.
- Select your journey by choosing your pick up and drop off location.
- Choose the service(s) you wish to travel on by selecting one of the fares presented and select ‘Book Tickets’.
- Payment Overview – Enter in your card details, read and agree to the terms and conditions then click ‘Pay Now’.
- You will receive an email confirmation of your booking with the details included. It is important that you present both your JJ Kavanagh & Sons Free Travel Card to the driver when boarding for the purpose of scanning.

*The driver can ask free travel customers for photo ID when boarding.

Who is eligible for this ticket?
Customers in possession of a valid JJ Kavanagh & Sons Free Travel Card. You must have a Free Travel/DSFA Pass card to register for a JJ Kavanagh & Sons Free Travel Card.
What are the conditions of travel?
JJ Kavanagh & Sons Free Travel Cardholders can reserve a seat on a service from €3 per person each way. A reserved seat is for a chosen specific departure time. Reserved seats are non-refundable however you can travel on a later service but you will not be guaranteed your seat.
