2. Castlecomer Discovery Park

Castlecomer_7

Where: Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny

No. Of Buses:  8 buses daily to and from Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny.

Why not begin your mid-term by doing the ‘leap of faith’ in Castlecomer Discovery Park? It’s right at the end or the beginning of the treetop walk was an absolutely fantastic experience. You’ve to climb your way up a rickety swingy pole about two stories tall and then jumping and catching a trapeze bar that looks like it is a mile away (it really isn’t but when you’re up there 🙂 )

3. Croke Park Skyline Tour

Skyline Tour

Where: Jones Road, Dublin 3

No. Of Buses:  52 buses daily to and from Dublin City Centre (Eden Quay) daily.

Discount: Get 10% off admission fee by simply showing your bus ticket when paying for Skyline Tour.

The tour starts in one of the famous dressing rooms and then proceeds through access tunnels and up to the very top of Croke Park!  You get greeted with a spectacular 360 degrees view when you get to the top that has to be seen to be believed; all the best bits of Dublin are visible from this one spot and as you walk around the perimeter of Croke Park, the guide (our favourite is Adam 🙂 ) talks you through some of the well-known monuments and buildings. There is even a part where you can get cabled up and peer over the lip and onto the hallowed turf! The Skyline tour is definitely worth a visit this mid-term.

Mayfield Birds of Prey just outside the city centre was absolutely amazing! You can spend almost three hours there with Ray and Willy hanging out with owls, hawks and more! By hanging out, of course, we mean feeding them and learning about them but most fun of all was having them fly to and from my hands! An absolutely exhilarating experience that can’t be missed.
