Due to the continuous expansion of JJ Kavanagh & Sons we are currently growing our team of professional coach and bus drivers. Using our fleet of the most modern coaches and buses, JJ Kavanagh & Sons operates an extensive network of national and local scheduled services. We also provide for school transport, corporate, private hire and contracted services.

1. Coach Drivers Wanted

JJ Kavanagh & Sons are currently recruiting full-time Coach Drivers in Naas, Carlow, and Wicklow to drive on our main bus routes.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To drive the company’s vehicles to the highest of standards, making sure driving is performed in a safe and professional manner.
  • Driving in-line with set timetable making sure that you are on time.
  • Use of ticket machines and issuing of tickets to customers
  • Customer Service
  • Always providing a high standard of customer service
  • Providing customers with information when required
  • Behaving in a professional but friendly way to customers at ALL times
  • Assisting elderly/children when required
  • Being the face of the company
  • Shift work

 

Requirements: 

  1. Up to date Category D driving Licence
  2. Up to date CPC (Driving qualification card)
  3. Up to date Digital Tachograph Card (Driver’s card)
  4. Clean penalty points
  5. Good spoken and written English
  6. Ability to keep calm under pressure, approachable and keeping polite at all times.

2. Coach/Bus Panel Beaters Wanted

JJ Kavanagh & Sons are currently recruiting full-time Panel Beaters in Urlingford, Co Kilkenny.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Inspection and assessment of damaged vehicles, deciding how best to repair, estimating the time and cost for the repair
  • Working closely with the Company’s insurers
  • Removing of any dents in panels
  • Repairing minor scratches, or making replacement panels
  • Welding new or repaired panels into place
  • Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork
  • Preparing of bodywork and spraying of panels to a high standard
  • Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork

Essential Skills: 

  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience in Bodyshop environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Full and valid PSV driving license ideal but not required as training may be given for the right applicant
  • Good communication skills must be fluent in English
