St Patrick’s Festival Schedule 2022
JJ Kavanagh & Sons has a full schedule of services to operate throughout the St Patrick’s Festival. A normal schedule of services will operate from St Patrick’s Day through to the weekend, with some minor exceptions to third level college and local timetables.
St Patrick’s Festival week is traditionally one of the busiest periods for JJ Kavanagh & Sons. This includes customers returning home for the Festival, those heading on getaways and international visitors. Customers are advised to pre-book their tickets online for best value fares.
St Patrick’s Day – 17th March 2022
The following services will be operating as normal with some diversions in place in Dublin City:
- 737 Naas – Dublin City – Dublin Airport Service
- 736 Waterford – Dublin Airport Service
- 717 Clonmel – Dublin Airport Service
- 735 Limerick – Dublin Airport Service
Diversions when departing from Dublin City Centre
From 04.00hrs to 15.00hrs the following services will divert and pick up and drop off at Heuston Station for St Patrick’s Day. All services after 15:00hrs will leave Ulster Bank (Georges Quay) as normal.
Diversions when arriving into Dublin City Centre
From 04.00hrs to 15.00hrs the following services will divert to Heuston Station for St Patrick’s Day.
NO SERVICES during this period will drop off at Eden Quay.
Diversions when arriving into and departing Limerick City
Limerick (Arthurs Quay) will be closed from 07.00hrs to 15.30hrs. All pickup and drop of points in Limerick City will be the bus stop outside the courthouse at the bottom of Mulgrave Street across from Limerick Fire Station.
Diversions when arriving into and departing Waterford City
Due to St Patricks Day Parade in Waterford City diversions will be in place across Waterford City between 11:00 and 16:00. The following stops will not be served for the duration:
- Parnell Street
- Dooley’s Hotel
All pickup and drop of points in Waterford City will be at WIT for the duration of this time.
The following services will be operating on a Bank Holiday Schedule:
- 139 Naas – Blanchardstown Service
- 183 Glendalough to Wicklow Service
- 828 Cashel – Thurles – Portlaoise Service
- 367A Dungarvan – Waterford City Service
- 363 Tallow – Dungarvan Service
Friday – 18th March 2022
The following services will be operating as normal:
- 737 Naas – Dublin City – Dublin Airport Service
- 736 Waterford – Dublin Airport Service
- 717 Clonmel – Dublin Airport Service
- 735 Limerick – Dublin Airport Service
The following services will be operating on a Bank Holiday Schedule:
- 139 Naas – Blanchardstown Service
- 183 Glendalough to Wicklow Service
- 828 Cashel – Thurles – Portlaoise Service

Sunday – 20th March 2022
Limerick (Arthurs Quay) will be closed from 07.00hrs to 15.30hrs due to International Bands Parade. All pickup and drop of points in Limerick City will be the bus stop outside the courthouse at the bottom of Mulgrave Street across from Limerick Fire Station.

Maynooth University Bus Schedule
Maynooth University services will be finished up for Study Week from 14th – 18th March 2022. We will be back running as normal from Monday 21st March 2022.
Carlow IT Bus Schedule
Carlow IT services will be closed for both 17th and 18th March 2022. We will be back running as normal from Monday 21st March 2022.
Weekend College Bus Schedule
No weekend College Services will be running from Friday 18th March 2022. We will be back running as normal from Sunday 20th March 2022.
LIT and Mary I Bus Schedule
LIT (Old Cratloe Rd) and Mary I bus services will be finished up from 16th – 20th March 2022. We will be back running as normal from Monday 21st March 2022.
