Travelling To College in September 2018

The first week of college can be very stressful. It’s fun and everything but you’re really thrown for a loop. You have to learn a whole new campus, get along with people you’ve only known for about two seconds and then pretend like you know what the hell you’re doing as you waddle into your first college class ever. But through all the madness, we can make one thing easier, your transport!

1. Maynooth University 

We’ve three bus routes serving Maynooth University daily from Kilkenny, Carlow, Portlaoise, Kilcullen, Naas, Sallins and Clane. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €40.

 

This week of the 13th September is a week set aside for First Years only for the purposes of registration and orientation. As with previous years, the orientation week services operates as a “skeleton” service and has one service to Maynooth that arrives on campus for 08:50hrs and one that departs 17:10hrs Thursday 13th – Friday 21st September excluding Saturday and Sunday.

2. Carlow Insititute of Technology 

Our national 736 Dublin Airport / Dublin City – Waterford Service stops at the Carlow IT bus stop eleven times daily.  We’ve also a number of local buses running Monday – Friday (during the college term) from the outskirts of Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, and Kildare. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €40.

Waterford Insititute of Technology

JJ Kavanagh & Sons stop right outside the main WIT bus stop eleven times daily from Dublin Airport, Dublin City, Carlow and Paulstown. Prices for student weekly tickets start from as little as €45.

 

 

University of Limerick / LIT / Mary Immaculate College of Technology 

JJ Kavanagh & Sons runs nine services to the University of Limerick daily from Dublin City, Portlaoise, Kildare, Roscrea, Mountrath, Borris-in-Ossory, Toomevara and Nenagh stopping right in the University of Limerick campus, close to “The Stables’. Prices for student weekly’s start from as little as €40. We also have six services that run to LIT and Mary Immaculate College daily.
