Route 736 – More Choice, More Often: Waterford to Dublin Just Got Better

We have some exciting news for passengers travelling between Waterford and Dublin.

From Wednesday, 27th May 2026, JJ Kavanagh will be expanding Route 736, increasing daily services from 14 to 17 trips in each direction — giving you a near-hourly connection between Waterford and Dublin, every day of the week.

Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to Dublin Airport, or making a late-night return, there’s now a service to suit you.


What’s changing on Route 736?

The expanded timetable brings 34 daily trips in total, with new early-morning and late-night options added in both directions. Here are the key highlights:

Waterford → Dublin Airport

  • New early departures: 01:12 from SETU Waterford
  • Regular services running throughout the day
  • Late-night departure: 23:12 from SETU Waterford (arriving Dublin Airport at 02:00)

Dublin Airport → Waterford

  • Late-night Dublin Airport departures: 23:45 and 01:00
  • New early and daytime services: 03:00, 05:30, 06:30, 08:00 and more
  • Regular afternoon and evening services throughout the day
  • Final arrival into SETU Waterford at 02:28

Please note: All Route 736 services now start and finish at SETU Waterford (Cork Road). Tramore will no longer be served on this route.

All fares and ticket types remain unchanged.
