JJ Kavanagh has been appointed the exclusive official coach transport provider for the Government of Ireland throughout Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, taking place from 1 July to 31 December 2026.
The prestigious appointment will see JJ Kavanagh provide official coach transport for delegates attending Presidency meetings and events across Ireland, supporting one of the country’s most significant international programmes.
As the sole provider of coach transport and professional drivers for the Presidency, excluding chauffeur services for Heads of State and Government Ministers, JJ Kavanagh will play an important role in ensuring delegates from across Europe travel safely, efficiently and comfortably throughout the six-month Presidency.
This appointment marks the third time JJ Kavanagh has been selected to support Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, having previously fulfilled the role during Ireland’s Presidencies in 2004 and 2013.
Founded in 1919, JJ Kavanagh has grown to become Ireland’s largest privately owned coach operator, with a reputation built on more than a century of safe, reliable and professional transport services.
