Candidate Profile
- Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic
- Minimum 3-5 years experience repairing Bus or Truck
- Diagnostics capabilities with good computer skills
- Organised & self-motivated
- Team player with strong sense of commitment to the team
- A full driving licence is essential. Holding a Commercial Licence would be an advantage, however driver training can be provided to the successful applicant.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections
- Full range of diagnostic, repair, maintenance and service of vehicles
- You will require the ability to make decisions and solve problems that may arise during the performance of your duty and will need a flexible approach, drive and enthusiasm to help deliver a high standard of maintenance to ensure vehicle availability.
- Communicating with the team of engineers and drivers and providing support to colleagues
- Carry out service and repairs to vehicles in accordance with the times set by the Manager
- Liaising with parts department for any parts needed for required jobs
- Maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment, following health and safety practices
- Carrying out any unscheduled maintenance issues both on and off site
- Ability to work on weekends ( On call roster )
- Ongoing training with Mercedes-Benz outside Ireland
