Summer Dublin Airport Hacks: Start Your Holiday Stress-Free

Dublin

Let’s face it, Irish summers don’t always deliver on the sunshine. So, if you’re heading off in search of a proper bit of heat, we don’t blame you.

But before you’re lying out with a drink in hand, there’s the small matter of getting to the airport. Here’s how to make that bit as smooth as possible:

Pack early, not last-minute

We’ve all been there, flinging bits into a case the night before and hoping for the best. But a bit of forward planning goes a long way.

Don’t overdo it, five days away doesn’t call for ten outfits. Just make sure the essentials are sorted (passport, chargers, swim gear) and you’ll be off to a good start.

Get to the airport in good time

Dublin Airport is one of Europe’s busiest, especially in summer. So, if your flight’s at 2pm, aim to be there by midday at the latest.

With over 100 JJ Kavanagh routes a day serving both Terminals 1 and 2, it’s never been easier to get there. Fares start at just €10, with space for two 20kg bags included.

Travelling with family? We’ve great savings, plus free WiFi and charging points at every seat, ideal for keeping the kids happy or downloading something to watch before take-off.

Bags dropped. Security done. Now relax.

Once you’ve checked in and cleared security at Dublin Airport, the pressure’s off. Grab a coffee, browse the shops, or treat yourself to a bite at one of the airport’s many bars, cafés or restaurants.

Start your trip the easy way

Don’t let airport stress steal your sunshine. Whether it’s a beach break, city escape or long-overdue family holiday, start as you mean to go on, with JJ Kavanagh.
