What are JJ Kavanagh & Sons Smartcards?

JJ Kavanagh & Sons Smartcard is the new convenient way to pay for travel across our services. It’s a plastic Smartcard which can hold pay as you go travel credit and weekly bus passes. It saves you carrying or looking for change and Smartcard fares are 10% cheaper than cash tickets! It will be live from 6th June 2017.

How it Works

 

1️⃣ Visit Smartcard.jjkavanagh.ie to sign up for your travel card.

2️⃣ We’ll send your travel card out in the post.

3️⃣ Login to your travel card account at Smartcard.jjkavanagh.ie

4️⃣ Choose your travel credit or weekly ticket that you need.

5️⃣ Pay on our secure payment system.

Types of JJ Kavanagh & Sons Smartcards

 

The three types of Smartcards users:

(a) “Travel Card” can be used by both students and adults. Payment options include making a Top Up or purchasing a weekly ticket online.

 

(b) “Free Travel (New Social Welfare Card)” can be used by a valid social welfare travel pass holder. It must be registered with the correct social welfare card details such as PPS No. and once validated by the Department of Social Protection the card can be used on the routes that avail of free travel.

 

(c) “Free Travel (Old Social Welfare Card)” can be used by a valid social welfare travel pass holder. It must be registered with the correct social welfare card details such as Ref No. and once validated by the Department of Social Protection the card can be used on the routes that avail of free travel

➡ 717 Clonmel – Dublin Airport

➡ 736A Naas – Carlow

➡ N12 Kilkenny – Maynooth

➡ N06 Athy – Maynooth

➡ N08 Portlaoise – Maynooth

➡ Clane – Naas

➡ Newbridge – Kilcullen

➡ Waterford City Service
